For about a week I have been working on an interesting non-convexity issue with the results of the layered security project. Still, I haven't reached a conclusion.
On a different note, recently I have been wondering if it is at least theoretically possible for one to determine or approximate gradients in the fabric of space-time. According to relativity theory, shortcuts between distant points in space could indeed exist and they would allow a person to travel to a distant end of the universe in a matter of seconds. Still, even if such an event was possible, how could we locate such points? A mathematically related, and possibly easier question would be: can we find two points in space-time that have the same gradients?

For a while now, I have been thinking about making a new version of my website that would be lighter, quicker to load, and above all, easier to update. I finally made time for that yesterday, and after an all-nighter the new puppy is ready to take its first steps into the world, and I am ready to get some food and sleep for a bit.
